The Reinvention Laboratory – an open platform for ideas and visions

We want your expertise, ideas and visions for the future of standardization. Join in!
A special forum dedicated to a lively discourse regarding the effects on standardization of digitalization will be provided for the first time by the DKE: the Reinvention Laboratory.
It is intended to present and discuss a wide range of ideas and concepts, strategies and visions from the world of standardization.
Click at any session in the following interactive program to receive further information. Here you will find the content of the session and the participating speaker.
A wide range of standardization policy ideas and concepts, strategies and visions will be presented, discussed and published via this platform as part of the development process leading the global electrical engineering industry into a successful future.
All sessions will be recorded and broadcasted to attract IEC General Meeting delegates to visit the Kap Europa and the exhibition area.
The Reinvention Laboratory represents the multi-facetted, inspiring, open-minded communication of knowledge and information forum – raising global awareness through thinking and acting outside the box.

The key question will be about the future of electrotechnical standardization. Of course, digitization is one on the dominant driving forces. Both in terms of the way people work together and with respect to technical innovations which will require changes in the way standards are developed, published and used. Finally, the role of standardization in the product development process and with regulators will be addressed.
